back

Worse than tears -
the smile of the
abandoned child

Though she can watch
her child gathering seashells -
the mother worries

Given fireworks
he prays for the sun
to go down, go down

The new father
sings the lullabye
out of tune

Searching for
the lost child
with his own drum

Chanting Buddha's name
is the deepest pleasure
of one's old age

To learn how to die
watch cherry blossoms
observe chrysanthemums

Without flowing wine
How to enjoy lovely
Cherry blossoms?

Such a lot of snow
That to do snow-viewing
there's no place to go!

Furious rain -
even the crying child
is silenced
